September 2006 - Beth dispenses with her cot and sleeps in her very first bed. She had a great check up last month at Birmingham Children’s. Dr Giovanni is really pleased with her progress and doesn’t want to see her again until August 2007. She sees the Worcester Consultant once a quarter to look after her general development and her speech therapist visits once a month. She still babbles with ‘mama’, ‘dada’ and ‘nana’ (banana) her only words.

She started her first school for two mornings a week. She’ll soon be meeting boys, and talking of marriage .......... We also had a phone call from BBC Midlands Today. They want to do a feature about Beth and her book. Let’s hope there’s a Publisher out there too.
